Day 115 in Esslingen

It's getting worse and worse every day.. Sina was right!

People are going out to cafes and bars to watch the football games on screens. That's really fine by me! The only problem is that there's a screen just next door from my dormitory.. I can hear the REALLY noisy horns all night long and it's really, really annoying. I'm starting to hope that Germany would lose the games so there wouldn't be so much noises.. But that's the only reason for hoping so, I promise! :D

Before going to bed I have to put the earplugs on, otherwise there is no hope of falling asleep.

  1. Yeah, actually yesterday I really wanted to kill the vuvuzela man, or just smash the horn. :)

  2. Haha! Good to know that I'm not the only one who doesn't like the the vuvuzelas. I wanted to smash the face of the man and kill the horn! :D

  3. Hm, I can imagine that it is annoying for you.. but hey, its only once in four years, at only for one month. Just bad luck, that you are here during that time. But isn't it interesting in some way to experience it?

And we are young.. is it really that bad to use ear plugs? Situations like these are what they are made for! And the vuvuzuela is not our invention ;)

On the other hand - try to watch a game with a group of Germans.. I think the atmosphere is just great and you would actually enjoy it, too!

  4. Thank you for your encouraging words, Sina. :)

I think it is interesting to see how these games affect on people because I have never seen anything like this before. That is the reason I am writing about it so much.

In a student dormitory I'm used to earplugs, that's not a problem. =D Soon the football matches are played and the horns will be forgotten and I'll be happy that I was here and had this experience.
